FAQ Looking after my plant

In general, the plants have a lifespan of between 6 months and 3 years. For more details, please refer to the “Lifespan” section for each species.

Each plant grows in a completely sterile environment, the outcome of several years of dedicated research and development.

Opening the dome yourself may disrupt this delicate balance. For this reason, we offer a dedicated maintenance service on request: any dry leaves are carefully removed by our specialists in sterile laboratory conditions. To benefit from this service, please contact us by email or telephone.

To replace your plant, simply return your dome with the gyroscope provided. In accordance with your preference, we will install either the same variety or another from our curated range.

The gel is a specially formulated material that adheres to the base of the dome and supports the growth of your plant’s roots.

In the event of a violent impact, these may exceptionally become detached. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 45°C will cause the gel to gradually liquefy, which may have the same effect.

The minimum temperature for in vitro plants is 5°C.

The maximum temperature for in vitro plants is 45°C.

Over time, the gel may dry out if the plant has absorbed all the nutrients it contains.

Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 45°C causes the gel to gradually liquefy.

Opening the globe will cause your plant to die within a few days.

We recommend avoiding placing the plant in a drawer. However, depending on the variety, it may survive for two to three days in such conditions.

In vitro plants are self-sufficient and therefore require no maintenance.

You can easily order a new plant in your personal space by selecting the ‘Order a new plant’ option.

Plants naturally produce CO2, which occasionally appears as fog inside the dome.
